HELL (frozen over) — Splitboarding on Vail Pass, Colorado

I’ve got an unreal story to tell about yesterday’s adventure, but this dude does such a good job of spinning the yarn…

(While reading look for the photo with the dog in it.  Compare the height of the trench to the top of his ears!)

One thing I’ve decided about these mountains — they’re always more than, rarely less than, you expect. Glad everyone got home safely. At least the dog had fun, with all you guys breaking trail for him.

Nice title to sum up the day! Seems like anything that could go wrong, did. Sorry to hear about the car handle. I thought being snowplowed in was the icing on the cake, but looks like you got a second round of desert that night. I’m heading to Peak 6 tomorrow and will let you know how it goes. I’m a little skeptical considering it’s east-facing and the sun was glaring on Thursday, but there’s only one way to find out for sure.
