All that time and effort for a 30-sec ride. What an addiction!

Loved seeing pics of Brainard in winter. I've been up there a lot, but only in summer and fall. Always nice to get away to its relative solitude (vs RMNP). I'm as bad as most others, knowing it's there close by, and still motoring right on by to go up to the park. But I'm an old softie now, wanting my fast food and shopping and wildlife viewing from the car, all within 20 min of each other.

Thanks for sharing Adam.
Reading your report brought back memories of my ascent-when you pass the "fork," but it still goes on forever!
This route was my first 14er, on Memorial Day, 1998. We were able to strap in at the summit and get some warm-up turns before dropping into the west side of the couloir.
Powder, then corn, then mashed potatoes.
I would like to ride it again, but I think I'll take the mellow ascent next time!

'Bout time you started writing again. But then, the adventuring is SO much more exciting than the writing. Hope you've had a great summer.
